Mom and Baby at Week 10 (taken 10/20)
We had another exciting doctor's visit this past Thursday. Ryan and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. His little heart was beating so fast, Ryan thought it sounded like a dog sniffing a microphone. We were able to record the heartbeat and are in the process of converting the file in to something you can all listen to.
At our next two visits we will get ultrasounds again. By the end of next week the baby will have already grown to about the size of an apple. It will be exciting to see how much our baby has grown by the 16th and 20th weeks. We were able to schedule our 16 week ultrasound on Ryan's birthday—Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Later this week, we plan to share our exciting news with our co-workers. We're still trying to think of something clever. Some friends a church had a good idea of tying it into a fall or Thanksgiving message.

You're looking great, Monica! We just listened to the heartbeat recording and it sounds wonderful. It made me all the more excited for you. I still remember the thrill we had of hearing Asher's heartbeat for the first time. Anne
