William's Obituary
McHENRY - William J. Hartmann II, 15, of McHenry, died Saturday, April 5, 2008.
He was born April 18, 1992, in McHenry, to William and Patricia (DeGolyer) Hartmann.
He was a sophomore at McHenry West High School, where he was a member of the Academic Team and Key Club. He was a creative individual who loved skateboarding, computer games, and being with his family. His affinity for learning and wisdom shone through in his constant curiosity and acute attention to life's details. Always ready with a joke, his humor could disarm the most stressful situation, and with a heart his chest could hardly hold, he offered a hand to anyone who needed it.
He is survived by his parents, William and Patricia; his sisters, Monica (Ryan) Klos, Lauren and Jillian; his grandmother, Linda DeGolyer; his nephew, Hayden; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Margaret Hartmann, Lauren DeGolyer; and his nephew, Ethan Klos.
The visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the funeral home, before the funeral Mass is celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2304 W. Church Ave., Johnsburg.
Interment will be private.
