Octo-brrrrr

Wow. October is already here and we've had the heat on for at least a week, maybe more. But with the cooler weather comes some beautiful scenery all around! Ethan's tree is a brilliant red/orange that stands out against the blue sky. We miss him, but are grateful for the reminder of our little boy in our back yard. The other day I noticed three tiny tree sprouts near the base of his tree, and their tiny leaves were changing, too. I dug them up and planted them in cups just before the night we got our first freeze. I hope they'll make it through the winter inside so we can replant them next year!

Noah is changing so much that it's hard to keep track of all the changes. He's laughing all the time now and finally sleeping through the night—what a blessing that is! He's also rolling over from back to tummy all the time. He can go the other way but it's not as easy (even though that's all he could do not too long ago). He's also started eating rice cereal from a spoon. What a mess it can be, but so much fun to watch him learn how to eat.

We recently went to Stade's Pumpkin farm to pick out Noah's first pumpkin. While we were there, Noah got to sit on his first John Deere—with daddy, of course! We had a great time with Monica's parents, sister and nephew Hayden.

Don't forget this coming weekend is the Out of the Darkness Suicide Awareness and Prevention Walk. Monica, Noah and I will be there with Monica's mom, aunt and cousin. Come out and join us!

Hi saw the picture of the tree and was blown away in contrast to the other tree's this really stands out! I love it, then I read the story and loved the tree picture even more. Ethan is making his presence known even if not there is body. xXx
